Dr. No to me has always felt almost like a rough draft (for lack of a better term). Not in a bad way, but rather an early sketch of what was to come. A lot of that if colored by coming to the series as a kid in the Roger Moore era, but still...

That said, there's something about it that's endearing. Maybe it's just having the benefit of hindsight and knowing what all is in store for us?
